Loretta Evans
Loretta Evans, 65, of West Portsmouth, died Friday, December 30, at Friendship. Mrs. Evans was born August 28, 1929, at Stout, the daughter of the late Elisha and Emma Fite Blevins. Surviviors include her husband, Everett; one son, Jeffrey Evans of West Portsmouth; four step-daughters, Julia Blevins of Friendship, Lavivian Hogan of Valpariaiso, Indiana, Ruth McKenzie of New Lexington, Jessie Diedrich of Logansport, Indiana; 21 step-granchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Parker and Irene Nelson, both of Stout; two brothers, Ross Blevins of Mansfield and David Blevins of Friendship. Funeral services were held Monday, January 2, at the Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union, Rev. Thomas Stepp officiating. Burial was in the Drake Cemetery at Blue Creek. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Southern Ohio, 1248 Kinneys Lane, Portsmouth, Ohio 45662.
