Linley J. (Jack) East
Linley J. (Jack) East, 60, of Piketon, formerly of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at the Pike Community Hospital in Waverly. He was born in Highland County on June 8, 1942, the son of the late Linley and Margaret (Warner) East. Survivors include two sisters, Erma Peters and Hazel East of Waverly; four stepdaughters, Patricia Spires of Stout, Vicky Hensley of West Union, Cheryl Thorney of Harlan, Ky., and Hazel Sparrow of Blue Creek; and special friend, Loretta Goodman of Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard East, and one stepson, Carlos Freeze. Graveside services were held Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Westwood Cemetery in Pike County. Arrangements were made by the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
