Charlie Evans
Charlie Evans, 75, died Saturday, September 3, at his residence near West Union. Mr. Evans was born February 6, 1919, at Stout, the son of the late Bruce and Seppie Hodge Evans. He was a retired farmer, a bus driver for 27 years with the Ohio Valley Schools and a Jefferson Township Trustee for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Evans, of West Union; two daughters, Charlene Grooms of West Union and Linda Vance of Blanchester; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two brothers, Herbert Evans of West Union and Coleman Evans of Blue Creek; and one sister, Marjorie Nichols of Otway. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 6, at the Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union, Rev. Volley Reed officiating. Burial followed in the Moore's Chapel Cemetery near Blue Creek. Memorials may be made to the Adams County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
