Robert Scott
Robert Scott was born 25 Mar 1831, in Adams Co, OH [to Susan Compton and Taylor Scott]. On 12 Oct 1854, he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth J. Bowers, of Adams Co, OH. To this union were born 14 children, six sons and eight daughters, of whom the wife and mother and five children have preceded him to that bourne from whence no traveler ever returns. In 1855, he moved to Nemaha Co, NE, later he moved to Saline and thence to Jefferson Co, NE. In 1899, he came to Gove County KS, where he continued to live until 05 Feb 1913 when his spirit took its flight to be with wife, children and loved ones who had preceded him to that land of eternal rest. Father Scott had professed the love and belief in our Savior, and his mortal life ended in the blessed assurance that all who come humbly to Him shall wear a crown of immortal glory.
