Everett Shoemaker
Everett Shumaker, 78, of West Union, died Monday, Oct 8, 2001, at Adams County Manor in West Union. He was born in Winchester on July 12, 1923, the son of the late Clifton and Mary (Sidwell) Shumaker. Suvivors include his wife, Leah Caroline Shumaker; one duaghter, Lisa Ann Smith of Valrico, Fla.; one grandson, Jeff Tumbleson of West Union; one great-grandson, three nieces and three nephews. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Rita Kay Tumbleson. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 at Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union with the Rev. John Greenlee officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the day of funeral. Burial will take place at Kirker Cemetery with military graveside service being performed by the Adams County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
