Beulah M. Newman Purtee
Beulah M. Newman Purtee, 83, of Friendly Center Apartments, Wilmington, formerly of Lees Creek, died Thursday, Nov 22, 2001, at her residence. She was born in Adams County on Jan. 9, 1918, daughter of the late Ollie E. and Estella Boyd Newman. Survivors include one duaghter and son-in-law, Barbara and Philip Myers of Wilmington; one son, Ralph Leon Purtee of Lees Creek; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Purtee, on July 20, 1992, whom she married July 26, 1939; and four brothers, David Newman, Raymond Newman, Gene Newman and Malcolm Newman. Services were held Monday, Nov. 26 at the Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina. Burial took place in the Newman Cemetery in Adams County.
