Russell F. Nichols



Russell F. Nichols, 82 years, of Peebles, died Friday, December 13, 2002, at the Adams County Hospital. He was born at Peebles on August 2, 1920 the son of the late William and Ruth (Paeltz) Nichols. He was a member of the Glendale Draft Horses and Mule Association, World War II Army Veteran, and a farmer. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Iacono. He is survived by his wife, Beadie (Clough) Nichols, whom he married on August 12, 1941; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Vicky Nichols of Winchester, Bill and Linda Nichols of Peebles; one daughter, Nancy Nichols of Peebles; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 16, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery with military graveside services by the Adams County Honor Gurard. Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
