Otto J. Newman
Otto J. Newman, 82, of Peebles, Rarden community, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at his residence. He was born in Scioto County, Oct. 11, 1919, son of the larte Charley and Cora (Ward) Newman. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II and worked as a laborer on the N and W Railroad. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Sue Newman of Peebles; three daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda Wilson of Greefield, Joyce and Robert Moore of Portsmouth, Connie and Kenneth McCollister of Frankfort; one daughter-in-law, Bobbie Newman of Rarden; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Randy Newman. Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 8 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles. Burial followed in the Newman Cemetery.
