Charity A. Jones Miller



Charity A. Jones Miller was born near May Hill, Adams County, Ohio, December 23, 1841, departed this life Nov. 9, 1921, at the home of her nephew, Samuel Gorman, who resides near Colon school house, west of Peebles, Ohio. Deceased had been a resident of Peebles for some years, until she moved to the home of her nephew, about three years ago. October 24, 1859, she united in marriage with Arthur S. Miller by Mills Calvert. To this union three children were given who never lived. The husband departed this life Oct. 1, 1888. Soon after marriage she and her husband united with the Church of the Brethren at May Hill. She spent most of her life on the James Jones farm near that place. Three sisters and three brothers have preceded her, three brothers and one sister yet survive. Services were conducted Friday a.m. at 10 o'clock from the local Christian Church by Rev. Van B. Wright. Interment in Zion Cemetery.
