Clara A. McAdow
Clara A. McAdow, 85, of Peebles, died Friday, May 30. She was born in Adams County on March 17, 1912, the daughter of the late William and Sarah Newman. She was united in marriage to Dale McAdow, who preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1996. She was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #246 in West Union. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Bob Applegate of West Union; one sister, Kate Fisher of Peebles; and one grandchild. Funeral services were held Monday, June 2, at the Brooke-Lafferty-Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Bill Christman officiating. Burial followed in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Eastern Star services were held Sunday, June 1 at the funeral home. Vistiation was held Sunday at the funeral home.
