Everett Lewis
Everett Lewis, 90, of Star Route, Stout, died Friday, Aug 26, 1994, at Southern Ohio Medical Hospital. Born Feb 9, 1904, in Adams County, the son of the late Charles and Laura Howe Lewis, he was a construction worker. Survivors include one son, Jonas Cooper of Buena Vista; three daughters, Ruth Hakala and Irene Schalch, both of Waukegan, Ill., and Betty Caldwell of Portsmouth; one brother, Charles Ernest Lewis of West Portsmouth; one sister, Goldie Lewis of Blue Creek; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lewis; three sons, Everett Lewis, infant Lewis and James Cooper; two daughters, Doris Lewis and Zetta Young; and four brothers, William Lewis, Melvin Lewis and two infant brothers. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Gregg Cooper officiating. Interment at McKendree Cemetery in Stout. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m Sunday.
