Lulu Mae Newman Miller Humphries
Lulu Mae Newman Miller Humphries, 88, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, April 26, at the Highland District Hospital. She was born in Adams County near Loudon on July 9, 1906 [sic: 1905], the daughter of Edward and Artie Myrtle Yankee Newman. Mrs. Humphries is survived by a son, Ralph Miller of Hillsboro; one daughter and son-in-law, Jo Carolyn and Carl Koenig of Otway; three grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two sons, Lester M. and Richard L. Miller, and four brothers. Graveside funeral services were conducted on Friday, April 29, at the Hillsboro Cemetery where Sherm Nichols officiated under the direction of the Turner and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
