Ralph G. Foraker


Ralph G. Foraker, 72, of Chillicothe, died Monday afternoon, July 29, 1996, in Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Columbus, following an extended illness. He was born Dec 10, 1923, in Pike County , the son of Norman G. and Gladys M. Puckett Foraker. On Jan. 20, 1949, he married Marjorie L. Everhart, who preceded him in death April 4, 1994. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-laws, Patricia and Walter Cox, Waverly, Karen and Russell Paugh, Greenfield, Beverly Foraker and her fiance Robert Harrel of Chillicothe, and Debra and Danny Butcher, Chillicothe; sons and daughters-in-law, William and Oakie Neighbors, Cedarville, and Richard and Dawn Foraker, Frankfort; 12 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sisters, Vera June Smith, Chillicothe, Iris Romaine Sterling, Largo Fla: and a special friend Hazel Hicks, Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers. Mr. Foraker was retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran , serving in World War II and was a member of the Ross County Senior Citizens. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Fawcett, Oliver, Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Campbell officating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens where military graveside service rites will be observed. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
