DAULTON RITES TO BE TUESDAY

Wife of West End Business Man Was Native Of Adams County

Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Daulton, 67, wife of J. W. Daulton of 316 Second street, prominent west end grocer, who died in Portsmouth General Hospital at 11:36 a.m. Saturday, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Friendship M. E. church with Rev. Donald Timerman, pastor of Bigalow M. E. church, in charge. Internment will be in Friendship cemetery under the direction of Lynn's. Mrs. Daulton had been in failing health for the last five years and had been bedfast since June 12. She had been a patient in the hospital since July [21?]. Death was due to diabetes. Mrs. Daulton was born in Adams County in 1866. She was the daugher of Henry and Catherine Myers. In 1889 she was united in marriage to William Daulton and to this union were born four children, Dora who preceded her mother in death, Henry Daulton and Lucy Henson of Portsmouth, and Maurice Daulton of the West Side. She also leaves seven brothers, Leonard, William, Thomas, James, Fred, Lafayette, and Floyd Myers, of Adams county, and nine grandchildren. Mrs. Daulton spent the early part of her life in Adams county, moving to Scioto county in 1890 [?]. She moved to Portsmouth in 1909 [?]. Mrs. Daulton was a member of the Methodist church, and since living in Portsmouth has been a faithful member of the Bigelow church. The body has been moved to the Lynn Funeral Home [?] street where [remainder illegible].
