Albert Branham


Albert W. Branham, 89, of Peebles, passed away Thursday, May 18, at Adams County Hospital. He was born in Peebles, October 13, 1905, the son of Jack and Fannie Jude Monroe Branham, who preceded him in death. Also, preceding him in death was his wife, Sarah Liston Branham, who he married December 31, 1923, and passed away February 27, 1942. He later married Ocie Dauglton, December 16, 1942, and she preceded him in death January 26, 1995. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Russell and Donnie Branham; and two daughters, Pauline Cook and Thelma Branham. Mr. Branham was a retired self-employed farmer, timber and sawmill operator, an avid trapshooter and attended the Antioch Baptist Church. Surviving are one son, Jack Branham of Eugene, Oregon; two daughters, Jean Frost of Peebles and Marjorie Augsburger of Middletown; a stepduaghter, Kathryn McFarland of Peebles; one brother, Sam Branham of Otway; one sister, Ethel Williams of Peebles; 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles, with Bill Christman officiating. Burial was in the Wamsley Cemetery.
