Adams County's Boundaries
Adams County: 1818-present
With the creation of Brown County on 01 Apr 1818, Adams County lost its final section of land with the transfer of land originally belonging to Hamilton, and later, Clermont County. With this transfer, Adams County's frontier is finally, and firmly, determined, and remains fixed through the present (illustrated above). Adams County's final land summary equals 590 square miles, placing it as the second-largest county in the state of Ohio.
